"Ike's Small Engine's Sales and Service" was established in November of 1981 by Ike and Linda Shumate. The original store was at 2007 S.College with a total of 1128 square feet. This location unfortunatley burned in May of 1992 forcing our first move. It was just next door but it was brick instead of wood and a whopping 6345 square feet. This building worked fine for us until 2007 when we started our search for a new location with a little more breathing room. Ike retired from the business in 1997 to enjoy his grand kids and his second love "Las Vegas". His son David took over the operation after Ike retired. David worked at the store starting in 1984 and has continued the legacy his father started. Ike passed away in 2004, but we all know he would be proud of where the business he started is at today.
